Seven Social Care are looking for 3 temporary Support Worker’s to work with a Childrens Residential Unit in Sunderland. These positions are initially for a 3 month period and will be paying an hourly rate of £11.80 per hour via an umbrella company. All posts will involve working shifts including bank holidays, weekends and waking nights.

The role:

Sunderland Care and Support is looking for Support Workers to join our award winning company with immediate effect. Sunderland Care and Support is a Council owned Trading Company supporting vulnerable people and children across the City of Sunderland and North East and is recruiting Support Workers in the following areas:

Grace House offers specialist, high quality planned short breaks for up to eight children and young people aged between 5 -17 years 11 months, who have a learning disability with associated complex physical disability, Autism and complex health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to care plans and ensure all records are completed.
  • Working independently into the homes of children and young people.
  • Providing care and support to vulnerable children and young people who require high levels of support to meet a range of complex needs.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: NVQ in Childcare.
  • Experience: 2+ years working in a similar setting in the UK.
  • Compliance: DBS check.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
