Seven Resourcing are looking for a Senior Lawyer to work in the Planning Service in Norfolk. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying £30.00 per hour + (please outline your pay expectations with your application).

The role:

To provide and supervise others in the provision of professional legal advice and advocacy to clients of the Planning Team to protect their interests, meeting standards of practice quality and consistency.

Line manage team members allocating work and resources to meet client timescales; developing staff skills, and ensuring work is done at the correct level of expertise.

Lead on marketing initiatives and profile building with existing and potential clients in support of nplaw’s growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

      To provide clear professional legal advice and support to clients, with the support of specialist colleagues as required.

To provide advocacy in Courts, Tribunals, Public Inquiries, and other venues as required.

Helping clients to select a barrister and instructing where necessary.

Provide advice and guidance to junior lawyers and/or to other teams on own specialism/area of expertise.

To provide line management for team members: develops, trains, monitors and manages staff performance through appropriate advice, support and formal supervision.

Ensure casework is allocated at the correct level of expertise to meet client quality and timescales; and team fee earning targets.

Provides casework supervision and professional advice to junior solicitors as required.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Solicitor, Barrister or FCILEx.
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Proof of right to work and references covering the past 2 years.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
