Seven Social Care is looking for a qualified Senior Social Worker to fill an exclusive opportunity specialising in the Children in Care service at Sutton New Road for Birmingham Children’s Trust.


The role:

As a Children in Care Social Worker you will be working with Service users between 0 – 18 years and taking them through the Care Planning process to see whether they will be returning home or to go to Court. The pay rate for this job has been advertised at £29.93 per hour, however if you have less than 2 years’ experience you would be on the Qualified Rate of £27.53 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working within the Children in Care Team dealing with 0 – 18 year olds already in Foster Care or placement and have a plan of not returning home or to go to court.
  • Complete cases through court and finalise itm whether it be through Fostering, home or alternative accommodation.
  • Working with a Caseload of 18 – 19 families per person which will have already been worked on previously
  • Court Reports/Plans
  • Care Proceedings

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.
  • Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
