Seven Social Care is looking for a Looked after Children Senior Social Worker to work for Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.

The Role:

Are you a passionate, committed and driven social worker? Do you have high aspirations for looked after children and young people? We want to recruit individuals like you to join our looked after children’s team on an interim basis!

Key Responsibilities:

• Social workers within the looked after children’s team hold a caseload of children and young people.
• They have responsibility for securing permanency for children with plans of adoption, long term fostering and special guardianship.
• They also undertake direct work with children and young people and support children in care council events.
• We have an established, stable and supportive team with a strong focus upon being a good corporate parent.
• We work closely with our colleagues in the Virtual School, SEND CAMHS, Looked After Nursing Team, Commissioning team and carers to provide a high quality of care.

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications: Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.
• Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
• Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
• Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
