Seven Social Care are looking for an experienced Social Worker for their Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Team paying £35 per hour.

The role:

We require an experienced fostering social worker who understands the role of both supporting and supervising foster carers. Ensuring placements are a high quality and meet the needs of some of the most vulnerable, complex children. The social worker needs to be organised and be able to manage complex situations, demonstrate an ability to assess risk and offer practical, pragmatic support to promote placement stability. The role is full-time, practitioners will be responsible for managing their own caseload of foster carers, alongside some duty related tasks. Experience of delivering training and facilitating foster carers support groups would also be of benefit.

Situated in Swindon. You would need to be a car driver.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 2 years post qualifying experience
  • HCPC registration
  • Previous experience in a fostering team
  • Experience of creating, implementing and reviewing care plans
  • Experience of short and long term work
  • Proven track record of being able to work to, and meeting, strict timescales in a calm and professional manner.
  • Manageable caseloads with more rural and coastal surroundings

    Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Social Work Degree
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Recent DBS check.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours p/w
