Social Worker – MASH & Assessment | £35 P/H | Southampton County Council

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable individual who is passionate about providing excellent social support and the delivery of clean safe care.

Candidates must be an experienced in frontline safeguarding / child protection and must have a good understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements. Experience of working in a multi-agency setting is desirable and previous experience of undertaking child protection assessments and public and private proceedings is essential. They need to have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to liaise with families and professionals. You will need to have experience and awareness of confidentiality, information sharing, data protection & Information governance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Social Work professional wishing to develop & work in a fast paced team environment with equally fast paced timescales. You will ensure that children are at the centre of the social work task and that their views and the views of their parents/carers are properly embedded in all aspects of assessments and plans. Importantly candidates need to be committed to improving the life chances and outcomes for children and be enthusiastic and self-motivated about working in this challenging, stimulating and important area of social work.

This is a temporary position, with the possibility of an ongoing contract subject to your performance, making this a particularly exciting opportunity for applicants.

The work in this post is full time, consisting of 37 hours per week in one of the most sought-after locations in the country, Southampton. Southampton is a port city on England’s south coast.
