Team Leader – Children’s Residential Service

Location: Stockport

Hours: Full-time, Permanent.

Salary: Circa £24,000 (including sleepins)

Seven are currently working with a private organisation who provide residential services for looked after children who display challenging behaviour and emotional behavioural difficulties.

The Role:

As a team leader, you will be an experienced support worker who will be responsible for providing a safe environment for looked after children to live, helping them to deal with personal challenges they might be facing and encouraging them to make positive choices in their life. As a team leader, you will provide supervision and guidance to support workers in the home and deputise in the absence of the registered manager or deputy manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to up to 4 users in a residential setting for children aged between 8 and 18 living with challenging behaviour
  • Ensuring that the home meets the high standards of care, and help to develop the company to achieve the maximum quality of care for the Children and Young People.
  • Support and supervise staff to ensure the efficient running of the home.
  • Safeguard and promote welfare of Children and to ensure that quality of care is consistent with National minimum standards.
  • Flexibility to work on a rota with Weekends, Evenings, and Sleepins
  • Identify risks and take the correct action in line with company policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care – Childrens and Young Persons Workforce or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar residential setting working with children or young persons
  • Leadership/Supervisory Experience
