Seven Social Care is looking for a temporary Support Worker to work with one of our clients in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will be paid £10.82 p/h.

Start Date – ASAP.

The role:

This is a service for Adults with learning Disabilities, ADHD, and Autism. This is predominantly for younger people in their early 20s.

To ensure customers are provided with timely, high quality and reliable care and support in their chosen settings To directly deliver individual personal care to customers in line with their care plan, working alongside them to maximise their independence and social inclusion

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients to actively plan their own menus and provide specialist support on healthy eating to enable clients to make their own choices.
  • To teach or support clients in preparing and cooking meals.
  • To enable clients to enjoy a range of food and support them to buy their food from various places including markets/ supermarkets or specialist shops
  • To work with clients to help them devise strategies to assist them with their budgeting and provide advice and guidance and sign post them to other relevant agencies if necessary.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or CQC Certificate, Practical Medication Administration, and Practical Moving and Handling (Certificates required)
  • Experience: 3+ years working within a similar role.
  • Compliance: Proof of right to work and a DBS dated within the last 12 months (or registered on the online update service.)
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: Full time – to be discussed.
